Things to do in Kununurra

Mirima National Park (Hidden Valley)
Located adjacent to the town of Kununurra, Mirima National Park is quite often referred to as the 'mini Bungle Bungle'. An early morning or late afternoon walk showcases the spectacular colours of the Kimberley.

Kelly's Knob Lookout
A great place to catch an East Kimberley sunset and it is walking distance from the CBD (be prepared for the steep hill up to the viewing area if walking!). Scenic views over the town and valley.

Celebrity Tree Park

Celebrity Tree Park was opened in 1984 and displays a variety of tree species that have been planted by famous visitors to our town. Wander around and spot such famous names as John Farnham, Kate Ceberano, HRH Princess Anne, Rolf Harris and more recently Baz Luhrmann.

Elephant Rock (Sleeping Buddha)
This large rock formation is easily seen from the banks of Lily Creek (in Kununurra) and is named due to two unique rock features. From one angle, it appears as Buddha in repose and from a southern angle (Packsaddle area), an elephant's head is definable!
