Gerroa

Gerroa is a quaint coastal town built on a headland overlooking Seven Mile beach, with a population of just 500, this tiny town is a hit with holiday makers. The Gerroa Boat Fisherman’s Club located on top of the hill has a view to die for and food to match. Walk as far as you like down the never ending stretch of sand that is Seven Mile Beach, or take the kids for a dip in the corner, protected from the summer wind and most of the swell, this area is perfect for families with young children.

Gerringong

Gerringong, where the mountains touch the sea. This relaxed seaside town is less than 5 minutes over the hill from Gerroa. Here you will find our closest supermarket, as well as a number of other shops including the famous Natural Necessity Surf Shop, Australia’s largest independent surf shop! Take the family for a picnic on the beach with some fish ‘n’ chips from the great Werri Beach Fish Shop.

Kiama

Kiama is a picturesque seaside town located 15 minutes north. Perfect for surfing, fishing and relaxing this coastal town ticks all the boxes. If the swell is up, check out the Kiama Blow Hole located next to the light house and be ‘blown away!’

Berry

The historical township of Berry is located just 10minutes away. Wander through the abundance of shops & galleries in this boutique village set amongst green rolling hills. Gorge yourself in one of the many delectable cafés and restaurants or visit the delicious ‘Treat Factory’ for that special treat!

Jamberoo Action Park

If you have kids in tow, then Jamberoo Action Park is a must. Water thrills & spills, wave pools, toboggan rides & racing cars are only a handful of the adventures to experience at this family playground which is the biggest fun park in NSW

Illawarra Fly Treetop walk

Located on the Illawarra escarpment above Jamberoo, the Illawarra Fly is the only one of its kind in NSW. Suspended 25 metres above the ground, the two cantilevered walkways take you to the edge of the forest fall line and offer inspiring views of the beautiful Illawarra escarpment and coastline.

The walk also includes a 1500m rainforest walk and spectacular panoramic scenery is experienced from the crest of the walk way's spiralling tower, 45 metres above the forest floor. Café 106 also provides the opportunity for lunch or refreshments

Minnamurra Rainforest

Take the chance to explore the region's local rainforests and National Parks. Starting off at Minnamurra Rainforest, choose either the Rainforest Loop Walk (a 1.6km elevated boardwalk) or the Falls Walk to experience the beauty of the waterfalls and peaceful beauty of this luscious rainforest (2.6km return). Remember to keep a close eye out for the magnificent Lyrebirds that live in this area

Kiama to Gerringong Coastal Walk

Walk the breathtaking, newly opened coastal walk stretching from North Werri Beach in Gerringong, to the southern edge of Kiama. The walk winds through pastures and above cliff tops where the mountains literally touch the sea. Best of all, it’s FREE!

Nowra Wildlife Park

For animal lovers and families with young children, the Nowra Wildlife Park (the largest native animal park on the NSW South Coast) will excite. Set in 16 acres of native bushland and resting on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River, the Park brings together over 100 species of native Australian animals, birds and reptiles with wildlife shows run daily throughout the year

Dolphin & Whale Watching

Dolphin Watch cruises operate daily out of Huskisson, Jervis Bay. Whale watching cruises also operate during the annual migration between May & November. There are two fantastic companies to choose from –

FleetAir Museum

A visit to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at HMAS ALBATROSS is highly recommended. 8kms south of Nowra and approx 40 minutes drive from Discovery Holiday Parks - Gerroa, museum portrays the eras of Naval Aviation commencing with biplanes operating from Australian cruisers in WW I, progressing through WW II, the founding of the Fleet Air Arm, the Vietnam War Helicopter Flight and up to the current ship-borne helicopters now operating with the Fleet. www.navy.gov.au/faam

Gerringong or Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club

The 18 holes Club is situated between Gerroa and Gerringong overlooking Walkers Beach and offers a friendly golfing atmosphere that is open 7 days with a resort style club house providing hire clubs, drinks and snacks. This is a links course with a Par of 72 and ACR of 68 - www.gerringonggolf.com.au
Alternatively, the 15 holes Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club situated just a few minutes from Berry, offers uniqueness of design together with testing large manicured greens and a fully licensed club house.

Barefoot Special Bowls

Head to the Gerringong Bowling & Recreation Club located opposite Werri Beach where you can play 'Barefoot Social Bowls' free for the first hour (Club supplied equipment with Greens generally available every afternoon from 5.00pm) before enjoying some light refreshments and a casual dinner

Coolangatta Estate and Winery

Make your way to the historic Coolangatta Estate and Winery, taking a self-guided historic tour on arrival before stopping by the Cellar Door. The Winery offers only Estate grown wines for which it has won many awards. Coolangatta Estate is also a great lunch stop with their inclusive Regional Tasting Plate of selected regional foods matched to four of the Estate's award winning wines being a gastronomic delight. What a way to spend the day!

Kiama Craft Market - held on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9am – 3pm at Black Beach with a fantastic array of local arts, crafts and collectables.
Kiama Produce Market - held on the 4th Saturday of each month at Black Beach from 8am – 1pm with delectable gourmet food and produce.
Jamberoo Markets - held on the last Sunday of each month in Kevin Walsh Oval, Jamberoo.
Gerringong Markets - held on the 3rd Saturday of every Month. Gerringong Town Hall, 8am to 1pm.

Berry Country Fair – Held on the 1^st Sunday of every month
