Overview
Discovery Holiday Parks – Gerroa (formerly Gerroa Shores) on the NSW South Coast is located 2 hours from Sydney and 3 hours from Canberra, with the historic towns of Wollongong and Nowra just under an hour away.
Once used as a runway by Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith, the famous Seven Mile Beach National Park offers year round fishing, safe surfing and beautiful white sand to soak up the sun.
A plethora of day trips abound in the region with excellent golfing available at the beautiful hilltop town of Gerringong through to witnessing the natural wonder of the famous Kiama blow-hole, or savouring some of Australia’s finest wines from nearby Illawarra.

Our cabins range from 3 Star to the Deluxe 4.5 Star Spa Cabins and sleep 5 to 6 people. These cabins come with all linen supplied, colour TV, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, crockery, kitchen utensils, cutlery and cookware as standard, with the Spa Cabins featuring an oval double spa to relax in after a hard days exploring.

Kiama Jazz n' Blues Festival & Discovery Holiday Park Gerroa Open/Market Day
Discovery Holiday Park Gerroa will be hosting an Open Day and Market Day on Saturday 10th March 2012 to coincide with the Kiama Jazz n' Blues Festival and to showcase the beautiful array of accommodation available at the park. Live music from 12:30pm through to 6:00pm. Grab a picnic basket and lay on the grass for a relaxing afternoon then join the music lovers for dinner in one of the many restaurants and cafes in Kiama.

Gerringong Fishing
A number of Marlin have been caught off the coast of Gerringong, even as close as the boat ramp. Get out with your big gear and try your hand at it. The MV Signa or Predator Charters in Kiama can get you on board for a deep sea experience.
There are also plenty of snapper, salmon and tailor around beaches and rocks. Remember - be surf wise when fishing close to the ocean.

Shimmer Restaurant & Bar opned in Gerringong in March 2011, and serves delicious meals, perfect for all occasions, from a romantic dinner to breakfast for the family. Sunrise Walks on the Illawarra Fly
Rise early for this unique dawn rainforest experience with the spectacular Sunrise Walk on offer on the second Saturday of every month.
Take the Treetop Walk in the morning to take advantage of the beautiful light the sun casts over the landscape as it rises – truly magic. At sunrise, the views are not only amazing but the birds and local wildlife are quite active too. Sunrise Walks run for three hours from 6 – 9am, with times varying slightly depending on the time of year.
Visitors will walk with a guide followed by a delicious hot buffet breakfast at Cafe 106. Numbers are limited and bookings are essential. Sunrise Walks cost $50 per person, including breakfast, and a 10% discount is offered to groups of ten or more.
Dolphin Wild Cruises
Dolphin and Whale watching tours are run out of the beautiful Jervis Bay. A pod of 70 dolphins live in the bay all year round! Surf Camp
Learn to surf on Seven Mile Beach, Australia’s best “learn to surf” beach.
Surf Camp Australia is the original surf camp for beginners. Dating back since 1999, our successful format has enabled many people to experience the thrill of surfing.
Our multi-day progressive course is designed for the beginner surfers in mind. Most people who undertake the course are able to stand up within the first lesson!
