Overview
Discovery Holiday Parks – Port Stephens (formerly Koala Shores Holiday Park) on the NSW Mid North Coast provides the perfect base to explore this stunning region and the 98,000 hectare Port Stephens – Great Lakes Marine Park. A 40 minute drive from Newcastle and 3 hours from Port Macquarie, this park is set in the beautiful township of Lemon Tree Passage, just 30 minutes from Nelson Bay.
Ideal weather all year round with no winter frosts, the Port Stephens region is ideal for all outdoor pursuits. The largest of all the areas townships, Nelson Bay, boasts excellent diving and snorkelling, plus many historic attractions including the National Trust listed ‘Inner Lighthouse’ on Nelson Head. From late May to July, this is an excellent base to witness the annual whale migration, or head out for a swim with the resident dolphins with the team from Dolphin Swim Australia, NSWs only licensed dolphin swim operator.
For a different pace, nearby Salamandar Bay features a specialty-store filled shopping centre, award-winning restaurants and a wide choice of cafes.

Summer in Port Stephens
Discovery Holiday Parks Port Stephens is located on the Tilligerry Peninsula, 1/2 hour drive from Nelsons Bay and 2 hours north of Sydney. Come and stay with us this Summer and relax in this beautiful Waterfront area.
During the day take an easy walk along the Koala Broadwalk to the Waterfront township of Lemon Tree Passage. Stop at one of the popular cafes for morning tea before heading back along the track back to the Park.
If evening entertainment is what you are after the Family Friendly Tilligerry RSL is a great place to visit. On Friday and Saturday evenings the children can attend kids club (at the club) while adults can enjoy what the club has to offer.

Anna Bay Community Markets: Held on the first Saturday of every month in the Gateway Family Presbyterian Church grounds and hall, 43 Gan Gan Road, Anna Bay. Running from 8:30am until 2pm, the markets sell craft, clothing, books, plants, tools, household and auto accessories. New stallholders and community groups are welcome.
